Afrilove is published by the company SHORTIA LLC. We understand that you share important information with us to find potential matches and build meaningful relationships, and we take this responsibility very seriously.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we process and what your rights are. By using Afrilove, you accept the practices described below.

We collect the information you provide directly as well as information generated by your use of the service:

• Sign-up data : name or username, age or date of birth, gender, email address.
• Profile data : photos, bio, interests, search preferences.
• Identity verification : document provided to confirm your identity, kept privately and encrypted.
• Content and exchanges : messages and published content, processed to moderate the app and protect the community.
• Usage data : access dates and times, pages viewed, links clicked, interactions with customer support.
• Geolocation : with your consent, your position (longitude and latitude) to suggest nearby profiles; you can refuse, but some services depend on it.
• Technical data : device type, identifiers, connection logs.

Our service is strictly reserved for adults (18 and over). We do not knowingly collect information about minors.

If we learn that we have collected data about a minor, we will take the necessary steps to delete it as soon as possible.

We use your information to provide, personalise and improve our service, detect and prevent fraud, analyse use of the app, communicate with you and respond to your requests. Specifically, we use it to:

• Create and manage your account, and provide customer support.
• Recommend you to other members and suggest relevant profiles to you.
• Enable connections, searches and exchanges between members.
• Secure the platform and moderate content, including with artificial intelligence.
• Offer you deals and manage our communications, in line with your preferences.
• Improve our existing services and develop new ones.
• Prevent, detect and combat fraud and any illegal or unauthorised activity.

Since our priority is to foster connections, we mainly share your profile information with other members of the community. We never sell your data. Beyond that, sharing is limited to the following cases:

• With your explicit consent, for example if you connect your account to another service.
• With technical providers (hosting, notifications, payment) strictly to run the service, and only the necessary data.
• Where required by law, in particular following a request from the competent judicial authorities.
• To protect our rights, those of our members and partners, enforce our agreements or investigate suspected illegal activity.

We take the security of your information very seriously and apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted connections (SSL/TLS), hashed passwords, secure media storage and identity documents kept in a private space.

We limit access to data to those who need it, bound by confidentiality obligations, and monitor our infrastructure to detect and prevent intrusions. In the event of a data breach, we will take the necessary measures in accordance with applicable regulations.

You can access, modify or delete your personal information at any time from your profile or the App settings. You can also manage your communication preferences and unsubscribe from promotional emails.

In accordance with the GDPR and applicable regulations, you have a right of access, rectification, deletion, portability and objection. In some cases, we may request proof of identity before processing your request, or refuse it if it is unlawful, invalid or infringes a third party's rights. Your data is kept while your account is active and only for legitimate purposes, in accordance with the law. If you delete your account, your profile stops being visible and your data is erased within a reasonable time, subject to legal retention obligations.

Accounts that remain inactive for a long period may be deleted.

The Afrilove website uses a minimum of cookies (anonymous audience measurement) and does not display intrusive advertising. You can configure your browser to refuse them.

We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time by publishing an updated version. We encourage you to review this page regularly to stay informed of our practices.
